La Paz is located between Cabo San Lucas and Loretto in Baja Sur (south). September through November is an excellent time to dive La Paz. The water is still warm and clear. Day diving boats are comfortable and well run by excellent dive personal.

TYPICAL ITINERARY

DAY 1... Upon arrival in La Paz transfer by taxi to your hotel. We offer packages at the Los Arcos Hotel. You are on your own for any meal service this day.

DIVE DAYS... We depart at 7:00 from the Los Arcos lobby. There are 2-3 dives daily and the sites are determined according to weather and group wishes.

Dive spots include:

ISLA LOS ISLOTES... a sea lion rookery just to the north of Espiritu Santo. You'll dive with the sea lions and a multitude of tropical fish. The east end of the island drops off into deep water with many detached boulders and is known for sightings of big fish. Average depths 30-60'.

EL BAJO SEA MOUNT... east of Espiritu Santo, a group of pinnacles, some 60' below the surface. Moray eels occupy every crevice and curtains of fish abound. It is well known as the location for schooling hammerhead sharks and bill fish. An occasional finback whale or whale shark may also swim by.

ISLA CERRALVO... southern most of the islands near La Paz, dive sites range from deep water reefs to shallow wash-rocks with remnants of sunken ships. Average depths 30 to 80 feet.

SALVATIERRA WRECK... a ferry boat that sank in 1975. It's 300' hull, largely intact, including the props, has been taken over by reef fish and large grouper, and is covered with sea fans and gorgonians. It lies on the sand at a 60' depth.

SUWANEE REEF... a shallow dive over a coral plateau with abundant and colorful juvenile reef fish. Average depths 10-30 fee.

Return to La Paz is planned around 6-7 pm. Breakfast, lunch, snacks and happy hour are all provided on each dive day.

FINAL DAY... You are on your own for transfer to the airport or extend your stay in La Paz.

Our friendly and knowledgeable crew make this a relaxing dive experience. They assist in gear preparation and are there when the dive is done. The chef serves freshly prepared breakfast, lunch and snacks.
