Advanced Open Water Class
Take this class and you will enjoy more self confidence and to acquire the necessary skills expand your diving to new areas.
The class includes the following modules: Deep Diving (up to 100 ft.), Advanced Navigation, Boat Diving (aboard Monterey Express), and Night Diving (Locating Shore, Different Enviroments)[Click on the highlighted text for more information on each Specialty] The lecture night will be August 10, 2011 at High Sierra Divers. Dive weekend August 26 - 28, 2011 with the Monterey Express dive on the 28th. Contact Doug or Tina at the shop to sign up.
The Tahoe Dive Team Event was a great success. Over 40 people attended, made Altitude dives, took part in the Diamond Reef - Buoyancy Course and enjoyed the 'Pot-Luck' Picnic. Go to our Facebook page for some pictures of the event.
Our next Dive Team Event is in Monterey on August 6 & 7, Doug will be teaching a class. Come down enjoy the diving and the Monterey Aquarium and time with your friends.

AB Contest Winner
Congratulations to Danny Clark, Danny is the 1st Place Winner of our 2011 Abalone Contest. He went to Albion on Father's Day Weekend with his friends,(the High Sierra Divers Campout Folks). He managed to come up with a 9-1/2" AB. Danny received a $50 Gift Card from High Sierra Divers. Stop by the store and check out the AB shell, it will be on display. Danny also won our UnderWater Pumpkin Contest last October. Danny is a winner, for sure!
