SSI Boat Diving Specialty

Details

The adventure begins before you enter the water.

Many exceptional dive sites are reached by boat. The SSI Boat Diving Specialty gives you the knowledge and practical experience to participate in dives from different kinds of vessels, including smaller dive boats and liveaboards.

Learn how to prepare for a boat dive, work within an organized dive operation, and enter and leave the water safely and comfortably. Academic learning is reinforced with supervised open-water diving.

With the right preparation, boat diving can open up offshore reefs, wildlife encounters, and entire destinations that are difficult or impossible to reach from shore.
